Working with Liebherr Mining: an electrifying experience

Since the launch of its Zero Emission Mining Program in 2021, Liebherr Mining has embarked on a number of projects that explore how the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) can help to reduce emissions. One of these projects investigates different types of alternate energy sources that can be used in Liebherr’s mining equipment. To ensure that Liebherr Mining has the most suitable people working on this project, the product segment recruited a variety of very qualified employees into the roles needed to make the project a success. One such recruit was Kareem Oubid, a high voltage (HV) electrician currently working with Liebherr-Australia in Western Australia to support and maintain electric-drive mining equipment. Market introduction of the Liebherr R 9300: a cutting-edge 250-tonne mining excavator

The R 9300 Generation 8 – the newest excavator in the Liebherr Mining range – can now be purchased. Following successful validation at a mine in Indonesia, the R 9300 has proven its ability to improve both productivity and efficiency on site. Once the machine enters serial production in 2024, it will replace the R 9250 within the 250-tonne class. Find out more

170 million euro investment: New Liebherr production site in Alsace

Liebherr-France SAS, based in Colmar, France, is responsible for the development and production of the Liebherr Group's crawler excavators. As part of its efforts to strengthen local supply chains, Liebherr-France SAS is planning to open a new manufacturing site for welded components as well as pre-assembly and assembly work for driver cabs in the EcoRhena industrial park in Nambsheim (Alsace, France) in 2025. Liebherr is investing 170 million euros on an area of around 47 ha and will create more than 300 jobs. Find out more
