With an outreach of 54 metres, the LPS 550 is the ideal portal crane for handling bulk cargoes in the Capesize ship class. For container handling ships of the Post-Panamax class are the optimal working environment for the LPS 550. The rail-mounted portal solution can also manage general cargoes and heavy-duty lifting up to 144 tonnes.

Stage V / Tier 5 final engine
The Liebherr mobile harbour crane is equipped with the latest generation of diesel engines for the exhaust emissions standards of EU stage V or EPA Tier 5 final.
Driver's cab
Noise protection, windshield wiper, air conditioning. The ergonomic and comfortable features of the cab increase the concentration and reduce the fatigue of the crane operator – for consistently high productivity and a high level of safety.
Main supply
The main supply can be effected via low voltage (400 V) or high voltage (1 kV - 20 kV). The cable drum is secured to the portal and independently takes care of the unwinding and winding of the power cable.
Anti-collision protection
Buffers are provided at all 4 corners of the portal as collision protection. Visible limit switches can be installed as additional security.
Safety devices
The safety of people, the infrastructure and the environment takes top priority. Our mobile harbour crane has a number of precautionary measures for increased safety in your port.
Storm protection
The manual storm anchor is suitable for wind speeds up to 42 m/s.
