Retrofitting SmartMonitoring to Liebherr fridges and freezers
You can identify whether a Liebherr appliance is compatible with SmartMonitoring based on which appliance series it is from:
- Perfection appliances are equipped with a SmartModule
- Performance appliances can be retrofitted with a SmartModule
How to check if your appliance is from the Perfection series or Performance series:
The designation of a Perfection appliance ends in h, e.g. SCFvh 4002
The designation of a Performance appliance ends in g, e.g. SCFfg 4002
Retrofitting SmartMonitoring to fridges and freezers from other manufacturers
The optional SmartMonitoring hardware opens up these possibilities to you:
- 3-channel data logger
- One of the three channels is a door sensor that detects and records when the door is opened
- You can measure the temperature at two places in the appliance with the other two channels
- Optionally, you can use one of the channels for product simulations
- Temperature data logger Measure and record the temperature of appliances from other manufacturers
- Data logger for ultra-low temperatures: Measure and record temperatures in ultra-low-temperature freezers
Frequently asked questions about SmartMonitoring: Licences, administration and data protection
SmartMonitoring is a licence-based application. Every fridge, freezer or temperature logger (“measuring point”) therefore requires a valid licence in order to be used with SmartMonitoring.
To view an appliance’s data in the SmartMonitoring dashboard, a licence must be assigned to the appliance. Temperature monitoring via Liebherr SmartMonitoring cannot be used for non-licensed appliances.
A Liebherr business account is necessary because SmartMonitoring is solely meant for commercial use. You need a Liebherr business account to log in to SmartMonitoring.
You can easily create your Liebherr business account here.
The administrator manages the user roles of the SmartMonitoring users via the MyLiebherr portal. There are two different user roles, the administrator and the user.
The administrator can operate all functions and see all appliances. They can manage various fridges and freezers with different networking hardware or temperature loggers, purchase and assign licences, change appliance properties, edit appliance groups or manage alarm settings. They can also authorise users to control the temperature of fridges and freezers.
The user receives the appropriate authorisations from the administrator for managing the fridges and freezers.
Yes, you can invite additional colleagues with just a few clicks via the MyLiebherr portal. An account must be created for them under your Liebherr business account, which you manage as administrator and you can then assign the appropriate rights to the new users.
We display your historical temperature monitoring data for you for three months. This includes data for the temperature history, alarm lists and reports. Reports which have already been created are available retrospectively for six months.
Please save your historical data locally according to your own retention periods and documentation obligations.
