Enormous increase in lifting capacity through new boom variation from Liebherr

The latest development from the Liebherr crane plant in Ehingen is both innovative and sustainable. The engineers from the Swabian crane manufacturer have taken a quantum leap forwards with the SX boom systems for crane models LR 1750/2 and LG 1750. The improved lifting capacity values resulting from the reinforced lattice booms enables the 750-tonne cranes to lift weights normally reserved for the next higher class of crawler cranes with a 1000-tonne lifting capacity. Wasel chooses the innovative SX boom system from Liebherr

Wasel GmbH Schwerlastlogistik took delivery of a new Liebherr LR 1750/2 crawler crane at the Liebherr plant in Ehingen in mid-June. The 750-tonne crane will extend the company's fleet of crawler cranes. The new crane will enable Wasel to ramp up its wind power activities. Find out more

Liebherr receives the order to supply armoured mobile and rescue cranes to the German Army

On 27 June 2017, Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH received an order from the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) to deliver a total of 71 armoured mobile and recovery cranes worth around 150 million euros. Find out more

Breithaupt & Philipp expands fleet with a Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane

Breithaupt & Philipp GmbH & Co. KG, based in Hohendodeleben near Magdeburg, has taken delivery of a new Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane. The 5-axle 250-tonne mobile crane expand the companies range of services upwards. The high lifting capacities of the 5-axle crane were one of the main reasons behind the purchase. Find out more

Liebherr cranes prominent in Queensferry Crossing construction

Liebherr cranes have had an important part to play in the construction of the new Queensferry Crossing across Scotland’s Firth of Forth. Three Liebherr tower cranes were used to build the Crossing’s three towers with assistance from two Liebherr crawler cranes. Over ten different Liebherr mobile cranes types and products from three Liebherr divisions have been used over the life of the project. Most recently a 500 tonne and a 300 tonne crane Liebherr supplied to long-standing customer Bernard Hunter were used in its contract to dismantle the three Liebherr 630 EC-H 40 tower cranes. Liebherr puts innovative system into operation for final painting of crawler cranes

Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH is currently putting a new system for the final painting of large crawler crane components into operation. This system corresponds to the latest requirements regarding environmental protection, occupational safety and paint application. Highly effective filters and systems for heat recovery are utilised here. Occupational safety and ergonomics are optimised by mobile work platforms and height securing devices. Liebherr has invested in the state-of-the-art for the technical application and process of paint coating along with the process data logging. Find out more

Liebherr LR 13000 crawler crane modernises Mexican oil refinery

As part of the energy reforms in Mexico, the "Miguel Hidalgo" oil refinery in Tula is being modernised. Mexican crane contractor ESEASA, carried out the hoisting work on behalf of construction contractor ICA Flour, using three Liebherr crawler cranes. They included the largest conventional crawler crane in the world, the LR 13000. When the work will be concluded by the end of 2018, the refinery will be able to produce up to 110,000 more barrels of pure petrol and diesel. Find out more
