Are you ready to join the team? About the Role
Liebherr Australia is looking for the next Workshop Leading Hand.  This role is responsible for the provision of ‘hands-on’ leadership that enables the team to deliver; safe, efficient, and compliant fabrication and repair services to the Mining Division. This role is a Monday to Friday role base in Mackay with opportunity for overtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership and direction to allocated team members
  • Operate workshop equipment including mobile lifting equipment
  • Diagnose faults of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
  • Diagnose and rectify minor electrical faults
  • Repair damaged or faulty parts
  • Provide adjustments to mechanical equipment
  • Overhaul components
  • Disassembly and assembly of power modules
  • Complete Quality Assurance checks and ensure work being delivered is to a high standard


About you

  • Trade Qualified
  • Large excavator/haul truck experience - essential
  • Liebherr mining equipment experience - desirable
  • High Risk Licence LF & DG & EWP - desirable
  • Working at Heights certificate - desirable
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and under adverse conditions
  • Strong focus on apprentice mentoring and development
