The refrigerator compartment is the ideal place for storing the following food:
- Food which will be eaten soon (e.g. pre-prepared meals, leftovers and cake)
- Food with a long shelf life (e.g. preserves, jams and marmalades)
- Food that’s best enjoyed chilled (e.g. yogurt)
- Food which is still maturing (e.g. cheese)
- Goods for defrosting and thawing
- In the upper area: Fruit and vegetables which are sensitive to the cold (e.g. zucchini, cucumber, potatoes and pineapple)
The warmest temperature zone in the refrigerator is the refrigerator door. The door racks are therefore home to tins, tubes and drinks, as well as spreadable butter and perfectly matured cheeses. Milk, of course, can also be stored here. Unpasteurized milk, however, should be stored in the BioFresh safe.
Longer shelf life. Longer freshness. More enjoyment.
The BioFresh safe keeps your lettuce fresh for 8 days longer and carrots and apples for up to 30 days longer than in a normal refrigerator. Where exactly you place food in your refrigerator is key. An overview of different foods and how long these can be kept in the respective temperature range can be found here:
