Variety from A to Z

Nadine Schäfer | Human Resources Officer for Training and Development

To find, keep and develop qualified employees – this is Nadine Schäfer's role

In the process, the Human Resources Officer at the Kirchdorf site has developed a passion for Liebherr construction machines. Not least when she got the chance to dig like a pro in a 26.5-ton A 924 excavator. In her daily work, things are often more theoretical, but there is just as much heart and soul.

I can implement my own ideas and at the same time do something positive for my colleagues.

Nadine Schäfer is focused on internal training for colleagues. She develops and implements her own ideas to move the company forward.

As Human Resources Officer Nadine Schäfer’s (former Zettler) passion is the personal growth of each employee. But not only this part of her work at Liebherr makes her heart beat faster: thinking of the first time digging like a pro in a nearly 30-ton A 924 excavator makes her still smile.

“At Liebherr, you can really experience a great deal. I love thinking back, for example, to my trial excavating in an A 924 – at Liebherr, as a HR Officer you can also find yourself in a heavy-duty construction machine which has an operating weight of up to 26.5 tonnes. Another highlight was Bauma 2013, in which I had an active involvement.

My day-to-day work is also anything but boring, particularly because Liebherr products are so broadly based. One of my favourite projects was participating in shaping the training centre. Today I develop new concepts and measures for training employees. I implement these in close cooperation with the consultants and instructors. I am amazed at how Liebherr supports and promotes its staff and the fact that I have the opportunity to make a difference. The topic of internal training has therefore become a real favourite project for me: I can implement my own ideas and at the same time add something positive for the benefit of my colleagues.”
