Repair

Our Repair program starts with a minimum standard repair scope, which we adjust based on the condition of your core component. By starting out this way, you not only have transparency into the cost of repairing your components, but you also benefit from the lowest upfront cost for first-turn components. Further, if you maintain your own inventory of swing components while we repair your components, you can significantly minimise your machine downtime.

When you decide to participate in our Repair program, one of our experienced Liebherr Reman team members works with you so we can tailor our proposed repair scope to best suit the unique conditions your components are exposed to. Every component we repair under this repair scope comes with a 12-month warranty. For any component brought to us that doesn’t quite match our agreed scope of repairs, the labour and the parts we replace within that component will still be covered by the warranty.

Fixed price exchange

As part of our Fixed Price Exchange program, you will receive an exchange component before your core is removed for repair. This means less downtime and eliminates the need to invest in swing component inventory.

Pricing per exchange component is fixed. It’s based on simple core return criteria, allowing you to better forecast maintenance costs regardless of the actual repair scope for each component. If you have components that failed during operation, or that are beyond economical repair, they are still eligible for a credit when you return the core. All components remanufactured as part of this program are covered by the same 12-month warranty as new components. Plus, they are also provided with all the latest technical updates to ensure quality, performance and reliability.

Cost cap exchange

Our Cost Cap Exchange program offers you all the benefits of the Fixed Price Exchange program, with the additional benefit of an extended pro-rata warranty that guarantees, or ‘caps’, the hourly cost of repairing the component.

This program gives you the highest degree of certainty when planning component maintenance budgets and the lowest risk of costs for early component failures. The Cost Cap Exchange program is only offered to customers with verifiable best-practice maintenance policies and procedures.
