Liebherr-Transportation Systems in Korneuburg (Austria) manufactures hydraulic systems for railway vehicles and buses in a workspace of around 11,000 m². The company has recently developed a new generation of hydraulic articulation dampers, which will be used in bus articulation systems produced by Hübner. Dieter Pflanzer, Director Operations at Liebherr-Transportation Systems GmbH & Co KG, introduces the new dampers.

Liebherr supplies leveling actuators to CAF

Liebherr will supply 1,632 leveling actuators to the Spanish rail vehicle manufacturer CAF. The actuators are integrated in light rail vehicles for Boston´s Green Line and raise or lower a train at the station’s platform so that passengers can board and de-board without any barrier.

Liebherr supplies series-produced propane-based HVAC systems for the first time

Liebherr-Transportation Systems was commissioned by train manufacturer Stadler Polska to supply HVAC systems with a special feature: The coolant used is propane, a natural refrigerant, which enables more sustainable cooling. This is the first time that Liebherr supplies series-produced propane-based HVAC units.
