BioFresh for long-term freshness

A fridge with double doors gives you plenty of storage space for everything you love to enjoy. We developed the intelligent freshness technology BioFresh to ensure that fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, are at home inside the Side-by-Side fridges. Each food compartment is has optimal climate conditions for storage – from high humidity and temperature just above 0°C to arctic cold at -2°C.

NoFrost: Never defrost the fridge-freezer again

The automatic defrosting function guarantees that frozen foods remain fresh. Cooled circulating air is frozen and the humidity is dissipated. In fridge-freezers the NoFrost function protects the entire freezer compartment against the unwanted build-up of frost and ice.

Shhhh – many of our fridge freezers are so quiet you have to strain your ears to hear them. Why? All cooling components are optimised and perfectly coordinated. This is how our ultra-quiet fridge-freezers achieve volumes of 32 dB.

With low power consumption, our fridge-freezers help you save valuable energy. These peak values can be achieved by using high-quality vacuum insulation panels with silica. This helps keep energy consumption low even after years of use.

Frequently asked questions about our fridge-freezers

A fully integrated fridge-freezer fits into the kitchenette behind a furniture front and fits into available niches. In contrast, a freestanding fridge-freezer can be flexibly placed anywhere in the room. Our freestanding appliances come with different surfaces such as stainless steel, BlackSteel or glass; in a range of different colours and with various printed images. In terms of features, total volume and cooling performance, however, both model types lack for nothing.

Fridge-freezers come in different energy efficiency classes. The exact power consumption is noted on the respective energy label. With a Liebherr freezer-fridge combination with A-rated energy efficiency, you save up to 2,000 kWh of electricity in contrast to a comparable appliance with E-rated energy efficiency over 15 years.

A fridge-freezer has a separate freezer compartment with several drawers in addition to the fridge compartment. The fridges come with an integrated freezer compartment or as a full-space fridge. Both fridges and fridge-freezers are available as fully integrated or freestanding appliances.

For fridge-freezers, the fridge and freezer compartments can be controlled independently of each other. The basic technology DuoCooling ensures that no air exchange takes place between the two parts in our appliances. Groceries do not dry out or spread odour. Our freshness technologies BioFresh Professional, BioFresh and EasyFresh ensure a longer shelf life and freshness for the food in the fridge compartment. You never have to defrost the freezer again with NoFrost, or do it much less often with SmartFrost.

Our fridge-freezers are available in different sizes and dimensions. Freestanding fridge-freezers are available in appliance heights from 100 cm to over 200 cm. You can choose between models up to 99 cm in width. Ourfully integrated fridge-freezers fit the usual niche dimensions. For example, there are appliances with a niche height of 122 cm to 213 cm and a niche width of 76.2 cm to 91.5 cm. With a total volume of 150 litres to over 300 litres, there is something for every household size.

The noise level of fridge-freezers is playing an increasingly important role in modern living concepts. That's why we offer a wide range of extremely powerful appliances. In some cases, our freestanding and fully integrated models even reach an ultra-quiet 32 dB or less.
