Worm gear slew drives
The compact worm gear slew drives are characterized by their high power density. The worm teeth ensure that the torque is transmitted to the slewing ring. As a result, this design is particularly suitable when high forces are involved and limited installation space is available, for example in a steering gear for the chassis of crane and other heavy-duty vehicles, in loading cranes or agricultural machines.
Our roller bearing worm slew drives with roller bearings are particularly well suited for heavy-duty applications, as they can transmit especially high torque and tilting moments as well as loads in small installation spaces.

Spur gear slew drives
Liebherr spur gear slew drives are characterized by their high efficiency and robustness. It is driven by a motor with a downstream gearbox and one or more sprockets. This design impresses with its high level of efficiency and is therefore particularly suitable for applications with a high duty cycle, such as small cranes, grabs or turning devices.

Belt slew drives
Liebherr belt slew drives are characterized by positive power transmission using a toothed belt and pulley. Thanks to very high efficiency at high peripheral speeds, toothed belt slew drives are often used in stationary industrial applications, in robot technology as well as in transport and conveyor technology. In these applications, their low-noise operation and ease of maintenance is particularly impressive.
