slewing bearing with a diameter of 23 metres

Liebherr's Components product segment is further expanding its portfolio in the area of segmented slewing bearings. The segmented roller slewing ring, which was developed and manufactured at the site in Biberach (Germany), has an external diameter of 23.4 metres.

Liebherr-Components opens a new facility in China

After breaking ground in 2021, Liebherr Components (Dalian) Co, Ltd. inaugurated its new production facility in Dalian (China) on March 19, 2024. On a gross surface area of around 44,000 m², Liebherr is not only consolidating the production of components in a new plant, but is also undertaking a major investment in the region.

With a height of 37 metres and a surface area of 363 m² each, this automated, lowerable and patented vertical wingsail technology will help to reduce CO2 emissions by cutting fossil fuel consumption. LPI gearboxes: Liebherr’s electrical drive solutions for construction machinery

With the LPI gearbox series, Liebherr offers construction machinery manufacturers a wide range of standardised gearboxes for the electrification of drives. The planetary gearboxes are optimised for a small installation space, maximum torque density and optimum efficiency and are suitable for both electric and hydraulic drives.

Intermat 2024: Liebherr displays exhibits with alternative drives plus a wide range of digital solutions

From 24 to 27 April 2024 in area Ext 6 C 051 of the Intermat trade show, Liebherr is presenting around 20 machines from the product segments of tower cranes, mobile and crawler cranes, components, earthmoving machinery, material handling technology, deep foundation machines and concrete technology. Intermat 2024: Towards emission-free construction sites with Liebherr energy storage systems

The Liduro Power Port (LPO) is a mobile energy storage system for the supply of construction sites. Hybrid or fully electrically powered construction machinery and equipment can be operated or charged locally emission-free with the mobile energy storage system. The high power density and compact design of the LPO enable efficient and flexible supply to machines and construction sites with a wide range of power requirements. Its constant power output reaches up to 160 kW.

Slewing bearings and drives by Liebherr contribute to the exploration of the universe

Liebherr's components product segment and mtex antenna technology join forces to provide the antennas for the next generation Very Large Array antennas (ngVLA), which will offer a glimpse into the infinite space reach. The ngVLA will be the largest radio astronomy facility in the Northern Hemisphere. The azimuth adjustment of the antennas is made possible by three-row roller bearings with a diameter of three metres and perfectly matched slewing drives. In addition, gear ring segments together with the drives ensure accurate elevation adjustment of the antenna. The perfect interaction of slewing bearings and drives guarantees precise control and positioning of the antennas for the exploration of the universe.
