The machine concept for the LS 400 EM gear shaping machine from Liebherr represents the cutting edge in versatility and efficiency. This manually loadable machine can be used for wet and dry machining and promises complete Liebherr quality coupled with maximum flexibility. Shaping head

With a maximum stroke length of 70 mm, this machine offers the ability to machine workpieces with a diameter up to 400 mm and a module of 5 mm. It is designed with a tangential-feed shaping head slide, making efficient production of a wide range of components possible with minimal setup. Thanks to flexible machining positions, multiple high-precision gears can be machined in a single clamping.

The combination of an electronic helical guide with state-of-the-art electromechanical drive technology and a user-friendly CNC control system makes flank and helix angle corrections easy.

Efficient and cost-saving shaping with wafer tools

Liebherr’s innovative wafer tools are the perfect complement for shaping machines and enable significant reductions in production costs. Clamping thin wafer discs in a special frame and then installing them in the machine provides countless advantages:

The optimized LHStation & LHMobile control panel

With the control panel, Liebherr intelligently divides programming and machine operation between two of the system components: “LH Station,” the large, fixed monitoring unit for data input and process monitoring, and “LH Mobile,” the standardized, mobile handheld unit with context-sensitive user guidance during setup. Both devices are equipped with both a multi-touch interface and tactile elements for optimal operational speed and operational safety.
