Hotels of the Liebherr Group

Hotel Europe, the first hotel of the Liebherr Group, start of the 1960s

As company founder, Hans Liebherr opens a production site in Killarney, Ireland in 1958. There is a lack of accommodation in the region for visitors. A guest house is built initially. Some time later the entrepreneur purchases property directly on the lake. Instead of the originally planned factory building, he builds his first hotel, the "Europe" on the idyllic land. In doing so, he lays the foundation for a new product segment – Liebherr Hotels.

Properties with high demand

Within a few years two more hotels open in County Kerry, Ireland: the "Dunloe" and "Ard na Sidhe Country House". Both are situated in the charming landscape and offer their guests exceptional comfort.

Two luxurious hotels are also built in Austria in the 1980s: the Löwen Hotel Montafon in Schruns (Vorarlberg) and the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol. With Hotel Falken in the old town of Memmingen (Germany), the Liebherr Group now operates six first-class hotels. What they all have in common is their high quality standard.
