Job report Kelly drilling using the LIPOS positioning system

The railway bridge in Koblenz (CH) was renovated

The renovation of the 130-year-old pillars was carried out with four piles each. The piles have a diameter of 1500 mm and a depth between 12 and 20 metres.

Using GPS for positioning

The 115-tonne drilling rig worked from a pontoon using the Kelly drilling method. Here LIPOS was imperative for precise positioning of the drilling points.
