Liebherr at InnoTrans 2018
From 18th to 21st September, Liebherr presents at InnoTrans in Berlin (Germany) a wide range of systems and shows its strong innovative capacity in the areas of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, hydraulic actuation systems and rail excavators as well as components.
As one of the leading manufacturers of equipment for the rail industry, Liebherr is an established name among the exhibitors at InnoTrans. On stand # O/300, the company presents customized solutions such as environmentally friendly air conditioning systems, electro-hydraulic actuator systems and a high-performance dual purpose excavator as well as components.
Among the highlights: the MACS 8.0 Modular Air Conditioning System. The flexibly configurable roof system is of low weight and characterized by its energy saving function and long working life.
An electro-hydraulic actuator is also showcased, which is used for the active lateral suspension of rail vehicles in order to reduce wear on the wheel/rail interface, whilst also improving travel comfort for the passengers.
Visitors are also able to have a look at Liebherr’s high performance A 922 Rail Litronic mobile excavator. As a dual purpose machine, it can be used either on the road or on railway tracks, and fitted with a rail-track undercarriage for different track widths depending on the intended work area. The railroader is characterized in particular by the economical Liebherr D834 diesel engine which drives a duplex hydraulic pump. Each pump can be controlled separately. This innovative dual-circuit hydraulic concept allows smooth operation even with high performance attachments. The A 922 Rail also combines high load capacities with outstanding comfort for the operator.
Last but not least, Liebherr presents its engine portfolio for rail applications, including diesel engines of the D98 series, as well as the latest generation horizontal 6-cylinder in-line engine D966. The latter was specially designed for RailPacks by Voith Turbo GmbH & Co. KG and will be on display on the Voith stand 215 in hall 1.2.
