Largest Liebherr Concrete Mixing Tower installed at Alfons Greten GmbH & Co. KG
A Liebherr Betomat V 1010 mixing tower has recently been commissioned at Alfons Greten GmbH & Co. KG in Essen/ Oldenburg, Germany. Featuring a diameter of 10.5 m and an overall height of 32 m, the Betomat V 1010 is Liebherr's largest concrete mixing tower. Eight chambers provide a storage capacity of approximately 1000 m³ for aggregates.
The plant is loaded via a rotary distributor belt installed in the upper section of the tower construction. Approximately 500 tons of cement, fillers and microsilica can be stored in five cement silos.
The plant may be customised with two Eirich mixer systems upon special request. The state-of-the-art Liebherr Litronic-MPS III mixing plant control ensures quick and uncomplicated discharge of the concrete in production halls. Additionally, exhaust air filter systems guarantee efficient dust reduction. Smooth operation is also assured during the winter months as the plant is equipped with a heating and is insulated with sandwich profile lining.
The Liebherr Group of Companies enjoys over 50 years of experience in the concrete technology sector, supplying their first mixing tower in 1958. With its formidable dimensions, the Betomat V 1010 is the largest of Liebherr's mixing plants and has only been installed once previously. The mixing tower for company Greten is the second in this size category.
Alfons Greten GmbH & Co. KG is situated in Essen/ Oldenburg and has been producing prefabricated reinforced concrete elements for the agricultural sector for more than 50 years. The new mixing plant will be used to produce quality concrete required predominantly for the manufacture of prefabricated parts for stables or driving silos.
