Liebherr wins the European Innovation Impact Award 2017

On 27 and 28 September 2017 Liebherr-Hausgeräte GmbH received the award for the best ideas and innovation management within the framework of the ideasEurope conference in Brussels.

Various keynote speakers from industry, politics and training institutions from all over Europe came together on 27 and 28 September for the conference in Brussels. European delegate Ulrike Müller described the event as an "ideal platform" for further development and the exchange of information and ideas in the area of ideas and innovation management. The European Innovation Impact Award is awarded every year to companies and organisations in Europe that are to be honoured for their inventiveness and innovation.

The forum in Brussels was a basis for the international exchange of information and ideas between players from various European countries in order to compare processes in ideas and innovation management and together develop a holistic view for new approaches. The highlight of the event was the awards ceremony for the best ideas and innovations in European companies. The structural anchoring of ideas and innovation management in the company and its general relevance in corporate culture was particularly important for the jury. Six companies were awarded here in different categories, including Liebherr-Hausgeräte GmbH in the "Best Innovation Management" category. Roland Rausch, President of the ideasEurope forum, stated: "What impressed us at Liebherr is the structure of the innovation management which is very clear and strategic. With the defined areas where Liebherr wants to develop, it is a very consistent system that will make an important forward-looking contribution to the company".

Liebherr was nominated by the German Centre for Ideas Management to participate in the international ideasEurope conference. "The award proves that we are on the right path with the existing structures and processes and we are living the "We are innovative" principle within the domestic appliances division", adds Helmuth Bauer, Development Division Director of Liebherr-Hausgeräte GmbH. Thomas Kandolf, Innovation Manager of Liebherr-Hausgeräte Lienz GmbH, also proudly stated: "We are delighted with the award and also very happy that we can keep pace with leading European companies in the area of innovation management. Our systematic approach to new ideas and how we turn them into innovative products and services is what sets us apart."
