Preparation of attachments
In order to achieve a reduction in wear on attachments with worn-out bores, an effective retrofit can be carried out with steel bushes. For this purpose, the existing bores of the attachment are spindled out with the help of a special drilling device and a suitable drilling rig. This process ensures high accuracy in the preparation of the bores.
The new steel bushings are inserted precisely and accurately into the prepared bores using liquid nitrogen to ensure an optimal connection.
Both the drilling jig and the bearing assembly for the boring mill are available to the customer for customer's own preparation. Alternatively, professional installation and retrofitting of the steel bushings is possible via the respective service provider.
Advantages at a glance:
- Cost-effective repair: The possibility of retrofitting the worn-out bores with steel bushes enables cost-effective repair work on attachments.
- Wear reduction: The use of steel bushes helps to minimise the wear of the attachments.
- High economic efficiency and sustainability: The longer service life of the attachment through the use of steel bushings leads to increased economic efficiency. In addition, this measure contributes to sustainability, as resources are conserved by having to purchase new tools less frequently.
