Free fall and slack rope monitoring for Kelly and grab drilling
Kelly winch: Fast lowering of the drilling tool can lead to the rope being unwound too quickly from the winches, should the winch no brake before the bottom of the borehole is reached. In order to prevent this, automatic slack rope detection can be activated.
