Liebherr-Aerospace Signs Landing Gear Overhaul Agreement with J-Air

Liebherr-Aerospace has signed a long-term service agreement with J-Air covering the overhaul of the landing gear systems of the airline’s 15 Embraer E170 family aircraft.

This new contract is another important milestone in Liebherr-Aerospace’s successful pursuit of landing gear overhaul campaigns. “Intense collaboration of the teams during the selection process has enabled us to find customized solutions, optimized to J-Air’s requirements. J-Air, with its main bases in Tokyo and Osaka, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan Airlines (JAL), a member of the oneworld alliance.

The complete landing gear system for the E-Jet family (E170/175, E190/195) was developed and manufactured by Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH (Germany), Liebherr-Aerospace’s center of competence for flight control and landing gear systems.
