Innovation and tradition unite in 2000th LHM milestone

This summer, Marcegaglia will proudly unveil the 2,000th Liebherr mobile harbour crane, an LHM 600, at Ravenna Port. This crane will handle a diverse range of commodities, including steel coils, billets, and plates. The unique slewing platform, adorned with motifs from Ravenna and Rostock, celebrates the rich maritime heritage and the partnership between these cities. The 2,000th crane is celebrated by the proud employees at Liebherr’s Rostock production facility, underscoring five decades of engineering excellence and innovation. Since the introduction of the first Liebherr mobile harbour crane in 2001, an LHM 400, Marcegaglia has expanded its fleet to include five more LHMs, each symbolising the enduring collaboration and shared commitment to excellence. The LHM 600, as the largest in the Ravenna fleet, will provide additional logistics capacity in style, marking a significant chapter in Marcegaglia’s journey and the synergy between two industry leaders.
Liebherr coast to coast
LCC marks a major milestone with its expansion to the West Coast of the USA, securing an order for two ship-to-shore cranes for TraPac, Oakland, in California. This builds on our success on the East Coast where we have had a strong presence for many years. This growth paves the way for future expansion and industry leadership coast to coast.
