GuaranteePlus terms and conditions

Liebherr-Hausgeräte Lienz GmbH (Liebherr) provides the owner of a Liebherr refrigerator and/or freezer (appliance) with a guarantee for the appliance for a period of 24 months (Liebherr guarantee), commencing with the handover of the appliance to the purchaser who bought the appliance for its initial commissioning. With the Liebherr GuaranteePlus certificate (certificate), the owner of the appliance acquires a follow-up guarantee, after which Liebherr will provide the owner with a further 36 or 96 months following the 24-month guarantee (Liebherr GuaranteePlus) in accordance with the following terms and conditions, depending on the guarantee model purchased in each case.

I. Duration and commencement of the Liebherr GuaranteePlus

1. The Liebherr GuaranteePlus is granted for the period designated on the front of this certificate (guarantee period). 2. The guarantee commences immediately after the Liebherr guarantee. 3. Any work or service performed under the Liebherr GuaranteePlus neither renews nor extends the guarantee period.

II. Requirements of the Liebherr GuaranteePlus

Liebherr only grants the Liebherr GuaranteePlus if the following requirements are demonstrably met: 1. The appliance was purchased for the first time in Austria from a commercial vendor. 2. The appliance is installed in Austria. 3. The Liebherr customer service staff are shown the certificate and proof of purchase for the appliance. 4. The appliance serial number is stated on the front of the certificate. 5. With the exception of the case described in III 3, the Liebherr GuaranteePlus is not transferable to another appliance. 6. The certificate was acquired within the 24-month Liebherr guarantee.

III. Scope and content of the Liebherr GuaranteePlus

1. Defects occurring on the appliance during the guarantee period, which are demonstrably due to material or manufacturing faults, will be repaired free of charge by Liebherr customer service or the authorised Liebherr customer service centre. If there is a defect in parts of the interior fittings as well as handles and cover panels, Liebherr reserves the right to supply the owner with the corresponding spare parts free of charge for the owner to fit themselves. 2. The Liebherr GuaranteePlus includes no other claims against Liebherr beyond the removal of defects. In particular, Liebherr accepts no liability for consequential damages.

IV. Exclusion and invalidation of the Liebherr GuaranteePlus

1. The Liebherr GuaranteePlus excludes faults or defects in the appliance which are attributable to: a) Non-observance of the operating and/or installation instructions, incorrect installation and/or incorrect connection, use contrary to the intended purpose, improper operation or overloading as well as wear and tear. b) External influences, such as transport damage, damage due to impact or shock, damage due to the effects of the weather or other natural phenomena. c) Repairs and modifications that have not been carried out by Liebherr customer service or an authorised Liebherr service centre. 2. The Liebherr GuaranteePlus also excludes defects in door seals including parts firmly connected to them, such as lids and doors, insofar as their defectiveness is due to a defect in the door seal, as well as lamps and visual defects due to ageing. 3. The Liebherr GuaranteePlus is invalidated if anyone removes, alters or renders illegible the serial tag or appliance number or if parts of a different origin are installed in the appliance.

V. Limitation period

Claims under the Liebherr GuaranteePlus due to a defect within the guarantee period must be made within 6 months. The limitation period begins when the defect is discovered.

Data protection information

Liebherr-Hausgeräte Lienz GmbH collects and processes personal data exclusively (i) for the purpose of establishing, implementing and terminating this Liebherr GuaranteePlus contract and (ii) any advertising measures, subject to the relevant consent of the data subject.
