With an outreach of 54 metres, the LHM 550 is the perfect crane for handling bulk cargoes in the Capesize ship class. For container handling ships of the New-Panamax class are the optimal working environment for the LHM 550. General cargoes and heavy-duty lifting up to 154 tonnes complete the range of applications of this crane type.

Stage V / Tier 5 final engine
The Liebherr mobile harbour crane is equipped with the latest generation of diesel engines for the exhaust emissions standards of EU stage V or EPA Tier 5 final.
Driver's cab
Noise protection, windshield wiper, air conditioning. The ergonomic and comfortable features of the cab increase the concentration and reduce the fatigue of the crane operator – for consistently high productivity and a high level of safety.
Safety devices
The safety of people, the infrastructure and the environment takes top priority. Our mobile harbour crane has a number of precautionary measures for increased safety in your port.
Four-rope grab control
The synchronisation of the winches is monitored and optimised by the four-rope grab control.
Hydrostatic drive
Closed hydraulic loops are used for all main functions such as lifting, turning and luffing. The crane operator benefits from extremely precise control, the service personnel benefit from a minimum number of components and the operating company benefits from reduced fuel consumption.
Pull cylinder
The pull cylinder over the boom offers many advantages: no collision with swinging load, no buckling of the cylinder and full protection of the piston rod in park position.
