SmartGrip

The algorithm-based system detects the properties of the bulk commodities and optimises the grab fillingf rate at any outreach. It reduces overloads to a minimum, increases the material handling rate and, at the same time, alleviates crane operator stress.

Intelligent grabbing technology

Sycratronic

The Sycratronic assist system makes it possible to operate two Liebherr cranes in tandem mode. A crane operator controls the movement of both machines that are electronically synchronised. Increased safety, easier operation as well as faster crane movements are the result.

Synchronised tandem lifting

LiMain

Liebherr Intelligent Maintenance (LiMain) is a new level of independence for manned and unmanned platforms, that offers increased crane availability at lower costs. LiMain is a fully digital, remote and semi-automatic maintenance system, which saves investments and resources for the platform operator.

Liebherr Intelligent Maintenance

LiDAT smartApp

With LiDAT smartApp, it’s possible to analyse your crane (operating and performance) data and get answers from it almost immediately. That leads to immediate decisions. The ability to work faster gives ports a competitive edge they didn’t have before.

LiDAT smartApp

Heavetronic

The active heave compensation system Heavetronic was specially developed by Liebherr for deep sea operations. The system is based on a motion reference unit (MRU) for registration and evaluation of the current wave movements that affect the ship and thereby the crane. Based on the measurements of these movements, a prognosis of the vertical movement of the boom is carried out.

Pioneers in Paraguay

Located on the Rio Paraguay, one of the longest natural waterways in the world and the region's most important trade route, our customer Terport Villeta handles 50% of all Paraguayan container traffic.

Two permanently installed Liebherr Fixed Cargo Cranes type FCC 280 play a key role in the smooth transfer from water to road and vice versa.

Areas of application

Bulk handling

When handling raw materials such as coal, construction materials such as gravel or foodstuffs such as grain, different material densities occur. The equipment used makes a decisive contribution to fast handling.

Port equipment

Ship cranes

Floating transfer solutions

Container handling

The ever larger container ships require space-saving and fast solutions. Because fast unloading means short lay times per ship, low costs and larger handling volumes, as more containers can be handled in a short time.

Heavy lift handling

The handling of heavy goods in ports, on ships or on the open sea during the construction of wind farms presents special technical challenges and requires the highest degree of precision and safety.

Offshore cranes

General cargo handling

General cargo is less standardised and uniform, because individual shapes and sizes define general cargo and make it special in handling. Accordingly, flexibility is required in the load lifting equipment.
