In today's fast-paced digital landscape, data is the foundation of business innovation and competitive edge. To harness its full power, we need more than just storage — we need to transform it into actionable insights. This is where your expertise is invaluable.We're seeking a Data Engineer (m/w/d) with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for technology to join our team. Your mission will be to build and optimize data pipelines, leveraging Databricks to facilitate a seamless, efficient flow of data. Your work will be critical in enabling the Liebherr Group to process and analyze data more effectively, turning complex datasets into valuable insights.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and optimize automated data pipelines (batch & streaming)
- Consolidate, prepare, and stage data from various data sources
- Improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
- Define, develop, and maintain data analytics cloud infrastructure
- Align cloud infrastructure and applications with business objectives
- Work agile with data scientists and cloud backend engineers on advanced analytics use cases
- Operationalize data driven digital products and services
Your qualifications
- M.Sc. Computer Science or related technical field with a focus on Data Engineering
- Proficiency in Data Engineering and Databricks / Spark, data lakes as well as SQL- and NoSQL databases
- Experience with development of distributed systems
- Experience with cloud providers (e.g. Azure, AWS) and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions) and IaC (e.g. Terraform)
- Excellent programming skills (e.g. Python)
- Basic experience with Data Science, MLOps, or Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in German & English
