Designed for your success

Bulk, cargo and container handling with cranes on barges or transshippers are an established part of logistic chains around the world. Decisive factors for success in this business are reliability, speed and flexibility. The last characteristic in particular is important, because flexibility exceeds the crane and its application capabilities: easy maintenance, smart updates and technological advancements are a trademark of Liebherr that is appreciated by customers all over the world. In addition, they benefit from fast handling speeds in continuous operation at 24/7 level.

Applied modularity

With eccentric arm

To optimise the reach and application possibilities, our CBGs can be installed with an eccentric arm. This leads to more efficient operation through better positioning.

On barge or transshipper

With our CBGs, we offer solutions that can be used for various applications on barges or transshippers, for container or bulk handling, in sheltered or open water.

Various boom lengths

The CBG series is characterised by different boom lengths. Depending on the model, the radius of the cranes is between 30 and 50 metres.

"Reliable equipment is the key driver for our sustainable development. Besides the excellent quality of the Liebherr floating crane solutions, the service performance is convincingly good, that supports us in ambitious goals achievement."

Areas of application

Open water

The ever-larger transport vessels around the world often have no access to quays and port berths. Consequently, the relocation of dry bulk handling to the open water increases, as well as the need for fast and reliable crane operations. To meet these requirements and create measurable, value-added services, we developed the CBG series.

Sheltered water

In space restricted ports or midstream operations, flexible handling equipment plays a decisve role. Without external influences such as high waves and when ambient conditions allow, floating cranes maximise their handling performance when being deployed in sheltered water.
