Regel takes delivery of second Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 mobile crane

  • Albert Regel GmbH extends its fleet with Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 mobile crane
  • 78 metre telescopic boom and VarioBase® variable supporting base were important criteria for Regel
  • Liebherr Single-Engine Concept proving a success around the world

RMT Albert Regel Logistik GmbH has been operating a new Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 mobile crane since autumn 2015. As a result of its very good experience with this Liebherr 300-tonne crane, Albert Regel GmbH also decided to buy this crane model. The main criteria for Regel were the long telescopic boom and VarioBase® variable supporting base.

The two Managing Partners Carsten Hildebrandt and Alexander Teifke came to the Liebherr production plant in Ehingen to take delivery of the new crane. They explain: “The LTM 1300-6.2 supplements our crane fleet between the LTM 1220-5.2 and our two LTM 1500-8.1 cranes. The new crane has a very long and powerful 78-metre telescopic boom. What is more we are delighted with the Liebherr VarioBase®. Even on sites where the supports cannot be extended fully due to a lack of space, we want to be able to work safely and with excellent load capacity values.”

Liebherr first unveiled the LTM 1300-6.2 with the new Single-Engine drive Concept at the Bauma 2013 event. Other crane models followed and now there are more than 150 mobile cranes featuring the Liebherr Single-Engine Concept proving their worth on sites all over the world. Carsten Hildebrandt confirms: “The drive principle with a mechanical shaft works very well. The LTM 1300-6.2 needs an astonishingly small amount of fuel.”

The new LTM 1300-6.2 was driven straight to a site after being collected. Old ventilation units had to be removed from the Wintershall administration building in Kassel, a subsidiary of BASF. The challenge was that the crane had to work with a radius of up to 56 metres above the 50-metre high building. As a result of the projecting edge of the building, a 21 metre lattice jib at an angle of 40 degrees was fitted to the 78 metre telescopic boom.

The Regel Group of Companies

The company including its subsidiaries currently employs around 150 people with sites in Baunatal, Kassel, Göttingen, Bad Hersfeld and Fulda. The group's fleet currently includes 40 mobile cranes with load capacities from 30 tonnes to 500 tonnes, 40 special transport vehicles with payloads of up to 80 tonnes and over 30 forklift trucks as well as a lifting frame with a load capacity of 400 tonnes.

In November 2014 the company was taken over by Carsten Hildebrandt and Alexander Teifke who are now its managing partners.
