Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse celebrated the delivery of its 100,000th heat exchanger in April 2023, a milestone that underlines the company's industrial ambition and success.
The OEM started production more than 20 years ago with the manufacture of 37 heat exchangers in 2002; nearly 12,000 exchangers are now produced each year. The business continues to expand, serving both aircraft manufacturers and MRO customers.
With a strong growth forecast for 2030, Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse is investing in the future with the construction of a new industrial building at its Campsas (France) site. The eco-responsible building will feature state-of-the-art technological equipment and industrial processes.
The heat exchanger is a key part of air conditioning systems. The Liebherr team masters its design, production and maintenance. The company’s heat exchangers are used on a wide range of commercial, regional and business aircraft, as well as helicopters.
For maintenance, Liebherr-Aerospace has deployed a worldwide network of repair stations. Liebherr handles complex major repairs and re-coring with a center in Saline, Michigan (USA) and in Singapore. A further heat exchanger MRO center in Shanghai (China) will be operational in 2024.
Liebherr also relies on a customer service network of partners. These partnerships enable the company to be highly responsive.
