Dependable in operation: HKV uses a Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 to erect a bridge overnight

The motorway section of the A3 between Cologne-Mülheim and Leverkusen is being expanded to eight lanes. However, since the old motorway bridges are not long enough for the expansion, new bridges are needed. As a temporary solution during the construction work, a Liebherr LTM 1300-6.2 mobile crane was used by the company HKV Schmitz + Partner to erect a makeshift bridge overnight. Find out more

Liebherr Seals Its Participation in Clean Sky 2

Three Liebherr companies have confirmed their participation in the Clean Sky 2 Joint Technology Initiative (JTI): While Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH, Lindenberg (Germany), one of the founding members of Clean Sky 2, has recently signed the Grant Agreement Papers, Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS, Toulouse (France) and Liebherr-Elektronik GmbH, Lindau (Germany) have joined the consortium as affiliates. Maxikraft handles heavyweight goods in Dresden's Alberthafen dock with two large Liebherr mobile cranes

Crane and heavy load logistics contractor Maxikraft used two large Liebherr mobile cranes in July to load two condensers and a turbine from low loaders into ships in Dresden's Alberthafen dock. The challenge was that the giant components had to be moved in tandem hoists between the LTM 1500-8.1 and the LTM 1750-9.1 before they could be lowered into the dock basin. Find out more

Major duty cycle crawler crane contract for Liebherr

Liebherr secured a major contract with a Turkish customer comprising 51 HS 825 HD duty cycle crawler cranes at the end of last year. Following a successful acceptance test this spring the first 20 machines left the Liebherr factory in Nenzing for delivery. Find out more

Liebherr opens new Sales and Service Centre near Auckland

Under the motto "Committed to Your Success", Liebherr New Zealand relocated its operations to the new Sales and Service Centre at East Tamaki near Auckland in May 2015. The official opening ceremony was celebrated on Friday the 31st of July 2015 and was attended by numerous customers and other guests. Liebherr 150 EC-B Flat-Top crane on the Zugspitze - construction crane on Germany's highest peak ready for use

The erection of the 150 EC-B 6 Litronic Flat-Top crane from Liebherr on Germany's highest peak, the Zugspitze, went perfectly. A team of experts from Liebherr together with Swiss airline Heliswiss and the planners from Bayerische Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG ensured that the erection work ran completely smoothly. Find out more

Air Cycle Technology: Liebherr Starts 100% “Green” HVAC System Trial with SNCF

Liebherr-Transportation Systems has developed an air cycle technology demonstrator which is currently being installed in one of the regional trains operated by French Public Railways Operator SNCF, financed by the Région Midi-Pyrénées (Southern France). One size bigger – Autokrane Schares GmbH takes delivery of LTM 1500-8.1 heavy duty mobile crane from Liebherr

An LTM 1500-8.1 mobile crane was added to the Autokrane Schares GmbH fleet in July. The 500-tonne machine represents a major expansion upwards for the company's fleet. Rising demand from the market provided the stimulus to invest in the Liebherr crane.
