With hydraulics towards success
A behind-the-scenes look at our hydraulic cylinders

Projects, applications and success stories

By developing individual hydraulic solutions for a wide range of applications, we have been supporting our customers for years. Let yourself be captivated by our diverse stories and gain deeper insights into the world of our products.

Hydraulic cylinders meet scrap shears

We manufacture suitable hydraulic cylinders for the current generation of scrap shears by Genesis GmbH, a leading manufacturer of scrap and demolition shears. Since 2015, twelve types of cylinders have been successfully used in every model of the GXT series shears. Our hydraulic cylinders are supplied all the way to Wisconsin (USA) for the parent company Genesis Attachments LLC.

Bridge-Breakers

Scientists at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) (Germany) have developed a new test rig for concrete bridge girders. Six double-acting hydraulic cylinders, which provide a constantly increasing massive pressure, apply said pressure with full force until the structure of the concrete bridge girders breaks. Essentially, the alternating activation of the double-acting cylinders allows the concrete element to be stressed both for bending and transverse force, as well as for torsion - i.e. for twisting. In this way, the load-bearing capacity of the bridge girders can be determined. Since 2017, the Technical University of Munich has been successfully testing the pre-stressed bridge girders with the help of our hydraulic cylinders. An analysis of the realistic load-bearing behaviour of the girders is possible on the basis of the collected data.

A step towards the future

In 2018, we supported the Collaborative Research Centre 1244 of the University of Stuttgart in the development of the world's first adaptive high-rise building by providing 24 hydraulic cylinders. Our hydraulic cylinders, in conjunction with the sensors, form the “muscles” of the building. The sensors record the load condition of the building. By means of appropriate control concepts, the reaction of the muscles is initiated. Thereby it is possible to reduce the load on the supporting structure for static and dynamic loads significantly. Thus, scarce resources can be saved, as it is possible to reduce the demand for building materials. This is an important contribution to achieving the climate targets.

Supporter for special modifications

Our flexible hydraulic cylinders supported Burde Engineering GmbH in the modification of a 90t excavator of its customer, Plannerer Gmbh. The former is not only a provider of innovative tools and assemblies, but is also a project planner and system engineer. In the mutual project, the said excavator was converted into a longfront demolition machine with several equipment variations. Among other things, we provided it with our boom and stick cylinders as attachment cylinder.
