    Our Liebherr gear shaping machines are optimally adapted to the diverse requirements of universal applications. Their axially movable shaping head slide enables extremely efficient production of very diverse components with minimum setup time. The variable machining position enables optimum alignment of the shaping head depending on the clamping fixture used. Thanks to the variable machining positions, multiple gearings can be machined within a single clamping fixture.

    Our machine concept is suitable for wet machining as well as dry machining.

    For economical and efficient production, we recommend the ringloader concept, which enables fast loading and unloading of workpieces. In addition, Liebherr offers various external automation systems such as a plastic chain conveyor and chain conveyor storage mounted directly on the machine.

    Precise and productive machining: SH70M shaping head

    The SH70M shaping head offers maximum mechanical precision, comparable to a Swiss watch mechanism. With an impressive stroke number of up to 1,500 double strokes per minute, it guarantees maximum productivity.

    In addition, the shaping head can be equipped with a twin-track cam, which enables quick and automatic switchover from external to internal gears without manual intervention.

    Mechanical helical guides are also available for the LS series. This new design is compatible with the old variant, which means that existing helical guides and back-off cams from older LSF machines can still be used.

    Minimal setup times and flexible machining positions: the SH70E shaping head

    The SH70E shaping head is equipped with an electronic helical guide which enables the simple and effortless setting of lead and angle modifications. The direct drive means it has zero backlash and is virtually wear-free.

    Efficient and cost-saving shaping with wafer tools

    Liebherr’s innovative wafer tools are the perfect complement for shaping machines and enable significant reductions in production costs. Clamping thin wafer discs in a special frame and then installing them in the machine provides countless advantages:

    Maximum user-friendliness

    The optimized LHStation & LHMobile control panel

    With the control panel, Liebherr intelligently divides programming and machine operation between two of the system components: “LH Station,” the large, fixed monitoring unit for data input and process monitoring, and “LH Mobile,” the standardized, mobile handheld unit with context-sensitive user guidance during setup. Both devices are equipped with both a multi-touch interface and tactile elements for optimal operational speed and operational safety.

    Automation & features

    Chain conveyor storage (KSR)

    The small, compact KSR chain conveyor storage enables storage and transportation of workpieces up to 180 mm in diameter and 300 mm in length. The maximum total load is 75 kg. This compact workpiece storage unit can also serve as an additional buffer option, for example with a robotic workpiece feed.

    Easy to maintain

    Optimum machine accessibility during maintenance work is a prerequisite for ensuring productivity. For this purpose, all necessary maintenance access points are equipped with doors. Moreover, to enable quick and easy additional monitoring of specific statuses, window panes are inserted into the maintenance doors. This means the machine operator or maintenance personnel can read the signals from outside in very little time. An enclosure for the hydraulics has also been integrated into the new machine design. This ensures sustainable reductions to hydraulic power unit noise.
