At the Elmia Wood 2017 international trade fair for the forestry industry, which takes place from 7th to 10th June 2017 in Jönköping (Sweden), Liebherr is presenting its latest special machines for timber processing companies. Visitors can find Liebherr at the trade fair stand 1051 measuring 1000 m².
A highlight: The winner of the 2017 Red Dot Award in the Product Design category, Liebherr’s L 580 LogHandler XPower®, recently debuted at the Ligna 2017 and will perform its premiere in Northern Europe at this year’s Elmia Wood. It is powered by an efficient 250 kW / 340 HP emission stage IV /Tier 4f diesel engine. The advanced, combined timber gripper has a hold-down plate, meaning that the L 580 LogHandler XPower® can grip up to 3.6 m² of round wood. Its maximum payload is 8,730 kg, with an operating weight of 36,650 kg. The trade fair exhibit also showcases a rear mudguard and gripper monitor.
Furthermore the line-up at the Elmia Wood will include the new Stereoloader model L 518 Stereo, the L 550 XPower® and the mobile material handling machines LH 50 M Industry Litronic and LH 35 M Timber Litronic. The configuration of the LH 35 includes the optimised undercarriage concept for trailer operation. The combination of a timber handling machine and trailer is the optimal choice for operations over longer distances. Thanks to the new undercarriage concept with blade and outrigger, the handling capacity when the machine is used with trailer is significantly increased.
Liebherr offers a wide range of equipment options that were especially developed for companies of the timber industry – such as numerous attachment tools for handling trunks and other biomass, or an optimised cooling system for deployment in areas with heavy dust. In this way, companies of the timber and forestry industry can adapt Liebherr machines to their individual requirements.
