Equipped with latest technologies such as robotic laser cutting and welding applications as well as 3D non-contact metrology inspections, the new 33,000 sq ft facility will enable the company to expand its activities in the light manufacturing sector. The building is to be constructed adjacent to the existing 140,000 sq ft facility of Liebherr Aerospace Saline, Inc. It will be the first industrial utilization of the 54 acres parcel of land Liebherr acquired in 2008 in addition to the initial 14 acres lot.
The new facility is planned to be operational in spring 2016. As a result, Liebherr Aerospace Saline, Inc. will increase its current staff of more than 160 by 25 to 35 employees in the coming years.
