Liebherr and Teufelberger develop a high-strength fibre rope for crane operation

Together with the Austrian rope manufacturer Teufelberger Holding AG, Liebherr is developing a new type of high-strength fibre rope for hoisting operations. This project is based on a systematic cooperative venture between Liebherr engineers from various divisions, including Liebherr-Components Biberach GmbH, as well as the three Liebherr manufacturing plants for tower cranes, mobile and crawler cranes and maritime cranes. Liebherr crawler cranes with special equipment at the new Niederfinow boat lift

One of the most impressive industrial monuments in Germany has been providing reliable service for more than 80 years: the boat lift in Niederfinow on the Oder-Havel Canal. On this waterway which connects Berlin to Szczecin in Poland, the boat lift helps traffic to overcome a 36-metre elevation. The vertical lift hoists barges up to 80 metres in length using a massive water trough which can be closed like a lock chamber. Find out more

Liebherr mobile crane dismantles the last construction crane on Hamburg's Elbe Philharmonic Hall from a jack-up platform

The Elbe Philharmonic Hall, a future concert hall and architectural highlight in the Port of Hamburg, can now be seen without any construction cranes for the first time since building work began in 2007. Hamburg-based crane and heavy haulage contractor Thömen used a Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane to dismantle the last of the four large top-slewing cranes which for years have dominated the skyline at the former quay warehouse. Mammoet adds Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1 mobile crane to its fleet in Ludwigshafen

Mammoet Deutschland GmbH took delivery of a new LTM 1400-7.1 in November. This Liebherr 400-tonne mobile crane significantly extends the company's crane capacity at its site in Ludwigshafen as previously a 200-tonne mobile crane was the largest in the fleet. The new crane will enable the company to meet its customers' demands, particularly for work in the chemicals industry. The main reasons behind the decision to buy the new crane were the good experience with an LTM 1400-7.1 which Mammoet has been operating in Leuna 2008 and the reliable service provided by Liebherr. Satisfied with Liebherr cranes for 40 years – Anton Schick buys new LTM 1160-5.2 mobile crane

Building contractor Anton Schick bought its first Liebherr mobile crane over 40 years ago and remains a loyal Liebherr customer today. The building contractor's fleet currently consists of around 30 tower cranes and mobile cranes from Liebherr. In November 2015 Schick took delivery of a new LTM 1160-5.2 mobile crane at the Liebherr plant in Ehingen. New mobile cranes for Floßdorf – Liebherr persuades with innovation, efficiency and customer service

Crane and heavy haulage contractor Dietmar Floßdorf recently expanded its fleet with two additional Liebherr mobile cranes, an LTM 1100-5.2 and an LTM 1300-6.2. The experienced crane contractor made the purchase in response to demand from the market. Floßdorf attaches a great deal of value to the compact dimensions and the VarioBase® variable supporting base feature of the cranes. Zermatt Mark II: Liebherr LTR 1060 Crawler Crane from Clausen completes mountain tour at an altitude of around 2,900 metre

The Liebherr LTR 1060 telescopic crawler crane from Swiss crane contractor Clausen has already demonstrated its outstanding off-road capabilities many times. The LTR 1060 has now completed another extreme tour at an immense altitude of 2900 metres. It was required at the foot of the Matterhorn to help construct the mountain station for the new Hirli chairlift. The experienced team from Clausen and the Liebherr crane overcame the challenge with ease using its alpine experience and outstanding crane technology. Find out more

First LTM 1300-6.2 delivered to South Africa – Marlboro Crane Hire trusts in Liebherr mobile cranes

The Marlboro Crane Hire fleet has featured the very latest crane technology since September 2015. Liebherr delivered an LTM 1300-6.2 mobile crane to the South African crane rental company.
