Complex night shift for six Liebherr cranes

Hanover-based Nolte Autokrane gave an impressive performance recently in its home city with a crane job that took a couple of days. A cantilever connection bridge measuring over 70 metres in length and made up of four components and a number of connecting elements had to be assembled in the air between two buildings of the newly erected headquarters of Continental AG (Conti). Heavy load specialist August Alborn purchases Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 mobile crane

August Alborn GmbH & Co. KG has taken delivery of a new Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 mobile crane. The specialist heavy hoisting and haulage contractor purchased the 180 tonne crane for projects involving the handling and assembling of heavy components and large machines. This work features unit weights of up to 65 tonnes. The LTM 1160-5.2 is now the company’s largest crane and largest single investment. Find out more

Industrial tent structure moved on crane hooks

Tyrol, a popular destination for mountain and other hikers, was recently the scene of a very special trip – an industrial tent structure weighing over 40 tonnes and spanning an area of around 1,400 square metres “walked” around 100 metres in just a few hours. A large assembly hall was moved to its new location in several stages on the hook blocks of three LTM mobile cranes. Find out more

Challenge – Saller’s Liebherr cranes complete difficult bridge hoist at night

Kran Saller GmbH, based in Deggendorf in Bavaria, positioned a component for a pedestrian bridge over a railway track weighing over 60 tonnes using an extraordinary tandem hoist and a massive logistical effort. The difficulty was that the cranes had to be set up for the night job in Munich very close to each other and moved even closer whilst hoisting the load into position. Find out more

Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 places cupola on Berlin’s Humboldt Forum

An LTM 1500-8.1 owned by Mobi-Hub completed a job in the centre of Berlin in front of a large crowd – the Liebherr crane placed the magnificent cupola on the new Humboldt Forum. The historically reconstructed cupola is decorated with eight angel figures and palm leaves, as well as a lantern and a golden cross. The reconstruction of the destroyed Berlin Palace has been undertaken to restore Berlin’s historic cityscape. Find out more

Mobile crane fleet always state of the art – BKL takes delivery of new LTM 1350-6.1

BKL Baukran Logistik GmbH has taken delivery of a new Liebherr LTM 1350-6.1 mobile crane. This is the third crane of this type in the company’s fleet.
