Reman process

Our remanufacturing process starts with the thorough disassembly of the used component, also referred to as a ‘core’. Wear parts are responsibly disposed of, and potentially reusable elements undergo a meticulous process of paint removal, cleaning and appraisal, adhering to our strict guidelines.

With the assistance of automated tolerance measurements and crack inspections, the suitability of each component for reconditioning is determined. Advanced industrial machining processes then methodically restore these components to same-as-new quality before undergoing rigorous inspection and reuse. Finally, the complete remanufactured component undergoes testing, ensuring that it meets the same stringent criteria and inspection report applied to its brand-new counterpart.

  • Step 1

    Delivery
    The core is returned to the nearest Reman centre, where our teams accept fully assembled components as long as they are free from mishandling, corrosion, cracks, or pitting.

  • Step 2

    Disassembly
    Core is then diagnosed and disassembled to its smallest pieces and parts.

  • Step 3

    Cleaning
    The parts of the core are cleaned of microscopic debris and thoroughly inspected.

  • Step 4

    Inspection
    The parts are then inspected to ensure they meet Liebherr’s strict quality and performance standards.

  • Step 5

    Refurbishment
    Used parts are restored to their original condition through cleaning, repairing and replacing necessary components.

  • Step 6

    Reassembly
    Next, the core is reassembled and validated to ensure it meets the latest specifications, emissions standards, and engineering upgrades for new parts.

  • Step 7

    Testing
    Testing according to Liebherr standards involves ensuring the newly reassembled core meets the same criteria as new Liebherr components. After testing, the core is packed and stored in the warehouse.

  • Step 8

    Delivery
    The remanufactured parts are delivered to the customer.
