Two BOS 2600 for FPSO

Liebherr has successfully sold two offshore cranes of type BOS 2600 (Board Offshore Crane) to a Canadian customer. The cranes will replace two Compact Board Offshore Cranes (CBO), enhancing reliability and safety on the Floating Storage Offloading Unit (FPSO). The new Liebherr BOS 2600 cranes are ideal for the harsh environment of the FPSO unit off the coast of Newfoundland. The BOS series offers flexible and easy-to-maintain solutions for platforms, jack-ups, or on-board work.

Plug into progress – new LHM 800 mobile harbour crane for Marcor

Overseeing the handling of bulk cargo like no other, we're excited to present the latest LHM 800, now fully operational at the Marcor Hartel Terminal in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It's the first crane of its kind without a combustion engine, and a second one has already been ordered!

The LHM 800 stands out with a 64-metre boom that elegantly extends from the quay's bulk ships to the storage facility's interior. In the accompanying video, you can see fish feed being unloaded and stored in newly built warehouses along the quay, complete with closable rooftops, courtesy of Marcor Stevedoring B.V.

New LHM 550: Logistics powerhouse for Port of Dover

The Port of Dover has significantly enhanced its cargo handling capabilities with the acquisition of the LHM 550. Boasting a 54-metre outreach and a 104-tonne lifting capacity, this crane is designed for high-volume throughput, efficiently serving New-Panamax and Capesize vessels. Its hydrostatic drive ensures precise control, supporting the Port's diverse cargo range. By integrating the LHM 550 alongside existing cranes, the Port ensures seamless cargo transitions and efficient operations. This strategic investment underscores Dover's pivotal role in UK-EU trade, handling 33 % of the UK's trade with the EU.
