New generation of common rail systems from Liebherr with additional installation version

At the trade fair for agricultural machinery and equipment Agritechnica from 8 to 14 November 2015, Liebherr is presenting a new installation version of its pioneering common rail injection system 11.2 as well as a new inhouse developed and manufactured engine control unit, which is planned for series production in mid-2016. The whole system is designed to meet the common offroad emissions standards as well as onroad guidelines EURO V and EURO VI. Find out more

Liebherr VarioBase® allows bridge to be constructed despite minimal space availability for mobile cranes

The first model of the new Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 mobile crane was delivered to Swiss crane contractor Senn AG in the summer. Working with an LTM 1130-5.1 the new mobile crane completed a job during the last few weeks which other cranes would not have managed as a result of the restricted amount of space available. Over a period of eight nights, a 100-year old railway bridge was replaced in Aarwangen in the Canton of Bern. It was only possible to erect both cranes on a narrow, parallel road bridge using the VarioBase® variable supporting base developed by Liebherr. Find out more

Rolls-Royce and Liebherr-Aerospace announce name of power gearbox joint venture and start of operations

Rolls-Royce and Liebherr-Aerospace have named their 50:50 joint venture to develop manufacturing capability and capacity for the power gearbox for Rolls- Royce’s new UltraFan™ engine design. The new company, to be known as Aerospace Transmission Technologies GmbH, officially started operations at the site of Liebherr-Aerospace in Friedrichshafen last month. Find out more
