Monopiles for new wind farm in the Baltic Sea

In the port of Rostock, the first monopiles for the offshore wind farm "Kriegers Flak", which is currently under construction, were loaded. The wind farm, located south of the Danish coast, will supply up to 600,000 households with electricity in the future and will thus become Denmark's largest offshore wind farm. The loading of the monopile foundation piles will be handled by Liebherr's heavy-duty gantry crane type TCC 78000, inaugurated in 2019. The manufacturer of the monopiles is the offshore wind specialist EEW Special Pipe Constructions GmbH, also based in Rostock. Find out more

Six in one go: Liebherr 125 K fast-erecting cranes for Dumberger

The construction company M. Dumberger Bauunternehmung GmbH & Co. KG has ordered six Liebherr 125 K fast-erecting cranes in company colours as well as a LiTRAX high-speed axle in package from Liebherr dealer Nagel Baumaschinen Augsburg GmbH. The first three cranes were delivered in the last couple of weeks. One of these is already in operation at a large housing construction project in Langweid am Lech. Find out more

Canadian company Eagle Builders celebrates 20 years with new mobile crane LTM 1250-5.1

Canadian construction company Eagle Builders is specializing in the design, engineering, fabrication and building of precast concrete structures. It´s subsidiary Quickline Crane is serving all the heavy lift requirements for the parent company. As project requirements are getting more complex and higher load capacities are demanded, the company has purchased a Liebherr mobile crane LTM 1250-5.1. The 300 ton (250 metric tonne) crane fully meets the demands of Eagle Builders. Find out more

In the Bay of Kotor: the Licence to Drill

It is known as the southernmost fjord in Europe: the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro. The luxury resort Portonovi is being built in Kumbor, the former base for naval aircraft and divers. Briv Construction d.o.o. is using the Liebherr drilling rig LB 24 for the deep foundation work. The first ever LTM 1110-5.1 goes to Spain

Spanish crane and heavy haulage contractor Grúas Roxu took delivery of the first ever Liebherr LTM 1110-5.1 mobile crane in May. Liebherr unveiled a prototype of its new crane model at the Bauma 2019 in Munich. The concept and performance data impressed Grúas Roxu so much that the company signed an order for two LTM 1110-5.1 cranes before leaving the trade show. Find out more

The sound of silence: Liebherr mobile construction crane in electric operation

Earlier this year, the Radeberg-based company Krandienst Kunze e.K. sent its Liebherr MK 88 Plus mobile construction crane to Dresden’s old town district to replace elements of the extensive glass roof of a shopping centre there. Liebherr's injection concepts of the future

Liebherr is developing “climate-friendly” injection solutions for the use of hydrogen and synthetic fuels. As the internal combustion engine is still the dominant form of propulsion for mobility today, Liebherr's Components Division sees it as a logical step to also advance the internal combustion engine for the use of CO2-neutral fuels.
