Four Liebherr Board Offshore Cranes for oil platforms in Azerbaijan

Montecon S.A. order two Liebherr electric rubber tyre gantry cranes (ERTG)

Montecon S.A. at the Port of Montevideo, Uruguay have placed an order with Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. for two large electric rubber tyre gantry cranes. The machines are the first Liebherr RTGs in Uruguay. Stacking ten containers and a truck lane wide and one over six containers high, the ERTGs are ideal for maximising space utilisation as the port optimises an RTG operation that includes reefer handling. Grand Paris: Delivery of the tenth Liebherr 1000 EC-H 40 High-Top crane within two years

Since May 2018, there have been ten 1000 EC-H 40 High-Top tower cranes with very high lifting capacities on the construction sites of the Grand Paris Express. The 1000 EC-H 40 is the largest Liebherr tower crane model operating in France. “The deployment of these cranes is interesting. Whereas the tower crane market in France generally demands lifting capacities of between 12 and 16 tonnes, machines with lifting capacities of over 25 tonnes are needed for the Grand Paris Express project. These large cranes are being used to place pre-cast tunnel lining segments at great speed,” says Christophe Zimmermann, Managing Director of Liebherr Grues à Tour France. Find out more

Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 places cupola on Berlin’s Humboldt Forum

An LTM 1500-8.1 owned by Mobi-Hub completed a job in the centre of Berlin in front of a large crowd – the Liebherr crane placed the magnificent cupola on the new Humboldt Forum. The historically reconstructed cupola is decorated with eight angel figures and palm leaves, as well as a lantern and a golden cross. The reconstruction of the destroyed Berlin Palace has been undertaken to restore Berlin’s historic cityscape. Find out more

Liebherr Plays Major Role in European Development Project Safe4RAIL-2

Within the European research project Safe4RAIL-2, Liebherr-Transportation Systems is working intensively with seven consortium partners on the development of the next-generation Train Control and Monitoring System (TCMS). The aim is to define new train standards and pave the way for deterministic communication as well as secure and interoperable connections, while increasing the efficiency and safety of TCMS. Pioneering methods and tools for model-based development in the railway industry are being coordinated and implemented. Find out more

Liebherr lifting space components at Port Canaveral

A special modified LHM 600 at Port Canaveral marks the largest mobile harbour crane in the U.S. to handle all types of heavy cargo, including space components. The machine features a maximum lifting capacity of up to 154 tonnes and 58 metres boom reach. A special double layer winch in combination with a high-rise configuration allows a maximum lifting height of up to 70 meters. Find out more

LR 1800-1.0: “One hundred percent variable”

The new Liebherr LR 1800-1.0 crawler crane gets up and going! The first ten units of this highly flexible crawler crane, which can be modified for lots of different sectors, have already been delivered to business partners in Spain, the USA and Asia. One of these powerful industrial cranes has also been delivered to Colonia Spezialfahrzeuge. The Cologne-based company mainly intended to use its new purchase in industry and plant construction as well as for bridge hoists. However, this modern crawler crane first had to tackle a job in a wind farm. Find out more
