New top dog – Sommer invests in Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane

Sommer Kranverleih GmbH based in Bremen has upgraded its fleet – the 800 tonne LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane is now the company’s flagship. The Liebherr 9-axle crane is now supplied as standard with new lifting capacity values which upgrade the crane almost throughout its entire operating range. The performance of the LTM 1750-9.1 has been significantly upgraded particularly for wind power jobs. Find out more

“The V-frame makes us extremely flexible”

The fourth generation of the owner family of crane and heavy haulage contractor Wiesbauer GmbH made their first trip to the Liebherr plant in Ehingen to take delivery of a crane. This traditional family-run company based in Bietigheim-Bissingen (Baden-Württemberg) has significantly upgraded its crane fleet. Not only did the Swabian company take delivery of another LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane, but an LTR 1220 telescopic crawler crane and a new 1000 tonne crawler crane were also added to its fleet. This LR 11000 celebrated a fantastic premiere in summer by hoisting a bridge to the north-east of Stuttgart. Find out more

From Bauma to Brandenburg: New L 586 XPower® for Meyer Erdbau GmbH & Co. KG

At Meyer Recycling GmbH, the subsidiary of Meyer Erdbau GmbH & Co. KG from Schönwalde-Glien (Brandenburg, Germany), a special wheel loader recently started operations at the company's recycling site: The L 586 XPower® that Liebherr exhibited at Bauma 2019. At the world's largest construction machinery trade fair, the wheel loader, with just joystick steering, was a magnet for visitors. Since the fair, Liebherr had been using the L 586 XPower® for internal purposes, now the machine - weighing almost 33 tonnes - is recycling building materials for Meyer Recycling GmbH. Find out more

Liebherr Overhauls Landing Gears for Austral

Liebherr-Aerospace has been selected by Austral Líneas Aereas to overhaul the landing gears of the airline’s Embraer E-Jet E190 fleet. It is the first major contract for Liebherr in Argentina. The overhaul activities have already started in July 2020 and are performed by Liebherr-Aerospace’s customer service facility in Saline, Michigan (USA). Find out more
