Liebherr R 946 Crawler Excavator at the MaskinExpo 2014

The R 946 excavator exhibited at the MaskinExpo 2014 is equipped with a 6.45 m mono boom and a 3.3 m long dipper stick. The machine is powered by a Liebherr diesel engine that complies with the current stage IIIB / Tier 4i emission limits. This 6-cylinder engine develops 200 kW (272 hp) at 1,800 min−1. Find out more

Liebherr PR 736 – first new Generation 6 crawler tractor

Among Liebherr’s products on display at the 2014 MaskinExpo is the PR 736 crawler tractor, a new development with a service weight between 20 and 25 tonnes. The world premiere of the Generation 6 crawler tractors took place at Bauma 2013 in Munich, Germany, where the new concept designed for increased efficiency and for a reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions was introduced. Fleet of over 40 Liebherr tower cranes at the urban development project “aspern+ Vienna’s Urban Lakeside”

Over 40 Liebherr tower cranes from the EC-B and EC-H crane systems are being used for the first phase of the “aspern+ Vienna’s Urban Lakeside” construction project in Austria. The modular design of this crane series means that each crane can be optimally configured to fit the construction project’s requirements. The modular undercarriages, tower elements, adaptor sections, jib sections and drive units can be used in different combinations. Find out more

Liebherr LR 11350 crawler crane moves giant ring liner in India

A Liebherr crawler crane LR 11350 erected a complete pre-formed ring linger during the construction of reactor block 3 at the Kakrapar Nuclear Power Plant in Western India in the State Gujarat. A unit owned by Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL), the Government owned company for nuclear energy and nuclear power plants in India. With a diameter of around 50 m, a height of 5 m and a total weight of approx. 170 t including the weight of the ring, the spider type lifting tackle fitted with evener beam, the ring was probably the dimensionally largest single structure ever to have been hoisted by a crane in India. Expansion of Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH: Construction Progress on Schedule

In the summer of 2012, Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH began a large-scale expansion at its site in Lindenberg (Germany): Once construction work is completed in 2018, the plant will have grown from its original size of 127,000 m² to more than 160,000 m². The production area, currently 65,000 m², will then cover 75,000 m². The system supplier’s goal is to boost production capacity for the long term and thus meet the increasing demand. Find out more

Two Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 cranes install glass roof: Tandem hoist at Erding thermal water world complex

A new glass roof was recently installed at Erding thermal water world complex (Therme Erding). Two new Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 mobile cranes were used for this job. The total area of the roof structure is 2,600 m² and it was ho-isted into position in two segments. The heaviest load totalled 203 tonnes including hooks and cross beams. Find out more

190 tonne truss on the hook. Felbermayr is building a hangar at Schwechat Airport using Liebherr machines

The Felbermayr Group erected the steel skeleton for a new hangar at Schwechat Airport in Vienna using five Liebherr mobile cranes. The heaviest single component weighed in at 190 tonnes - a gigantic truss some 100 metres in length. Find out more
