Liebherr presents new R 9200 mining excavator at MINExpo 2016

At MINExpo 2016, Liebherr presents its new entry into the 200-tonne excavator class for the first time in the USA: the R 9200, built to complement the broad Liebherr mining product range. The 16.3-yd³ (12.5-m³) bucket is the largest in its class, and offers sustainable performance while delivering peak fuel burn efficiency, even in the most challenging conditions. Bridge hoist with a surprise – Liebherr LG 1750 mobile lattice boom crane operated by Wiesbauer has plenty in reserve

As part of the Stuttgart 21 infrastructure project, a pedestrian bridge had to be removed to be replaced by a new railway bridge in Baden-Württemberg's state capital. Crane contractor Wiesbauer assembled its Liebherr LG 1750 lattice boom crane on the banks of the River Neckar to remove the wooden bridge. Despite the bridge weight being significantly higher than expected, the crane successfully completed the work. Find out more

100-tonne machine deployed: The Liebherr R 980 SME crawler excavator in limestone quarry of Pongratz family

The family-run company Pongratz Schotterwerk GmbH & Co. KG, in Ensdorf-Wolfsbach/Bavaria has been using a Liebherr R 980 SME crawler excavator in the limestone quarry since May 2016. The 100-tonne excavator is being used at the face of the quarry for loading the dumper trucks and in the overburden. Find out more

Lots of work for the new and largest crawler crane in Switzerland – the new Liebherr LR 1750/2 operated by Fanger proves its worth on its first job

The first job awaiting the new Liebherr LR 1750/2 crawler crane operated by Fanger Kran AG was a demanding one in central Switzerland near Lucerne. The crane had to handle a gross load of around 270 tonnes to replace a 30-metre cylinder. In a very constricted space in the production plant of a manufacturer of wooden materials, the job was only possible by moving the crane whilst it held the load. Find out more
