Frost protection for King Ludwig II’s palace garden

Every autumn, when the streams of visitors to Herrenchiemsee Palace start to dwindle, the park next to this magnificent building on the island in Chiemsee is made ready for winter. In addition to clearing thousands of plants in the gardens, this also includes protecting the fountains there from frost. A mobile crane owned by BKL Baukran Logistik GmbH was driven from the company’s headquarters to the largest of the Bavarian lakes in November with the job of hoisting large scaffold hoods over these fountains, some of which are enormous. The Liebherr R 922 crawler excavator wins a prize at the iF Design Award 2019

The Liebherr R 922 crawler excavator, launched worldwide in October 2018, has won a prize at the IF Design Award 2019 in the "product design" category. With an operating weight of 22 tonnes and an engine output of 120 kW/163 HP, this machine was developed and produced by Liebherr-France SAS in Colmar (France). Find out more

RMS Cranes selects Liebherr LR 1500 crawler crane for gas and oil industry construction project lift in Texas

RMS Cranes selected a Liebherr LR 1500 crawler crane to lift three demethanizer towers for a major cryogenic gas processing plant in Reeves County, Texas. One tower has been completed with two left to set next month. Each tower weighs approximately 231 US tons, and are more than 197 feet tall and 11 feet in diameter. Find out more

Two used Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 mobile cranes and a new LR 1750/2 crawler crane for Burger

Chilean crane contractor Burger Grúas has had two used LTM 1500-8.1 mobile cranes retrofitted at the Liebherr manufacturing plant to suit the special needs of the numerous climate zones in the country. Currently the two cranes are erecting turbines at a wind farm in southern Chile. A new Liebherr LR 1750/2 crawler crane with the innovative SX boom system is already in action at a mine in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile. Later, it will also be used for erecting wind turbines. Find out more

Large-scale conversion project on offshore platform Molikpaq operated by Sakhalin Energy

Rostock, February 2019 – Liebherr's maritime customer service is carrying out an extraordinary modernisation project on Sakhalin Energy’s Molikpaq offshore platform off the Russian island of Sakhalin. Two ram luffing offshore cranes, type RL 1500 are going to be completely renewed. An existing crane, type BOS 1900 will be upgraded with the same generation control system as the RL 1500.
