Swiss crane contractor Gyger Levage extends fleet with two new Liebherr mobile cranes

Swiss crane contractor Gyger Levage has taken delivery of two new Liebherr mobile cranes. An LTM 1040-2.1 will expand the crane fleet in the lower lifting capacity range and an LTM 1450-8.1 with a maximum lifting capacity of 450 tonnes will add to the fleet at the top end of the range. At Rental'R: The first Liebherr R 924 G8 crawler excavator in the Île-de-France region

In April, Liebherr presented the new 8th generation of crawler excavators at the bauma trade fair in Munich. A number of these machines have since been successfully delivered to customers around the world. The company Rental'R, which was founded in 2018 and is based in Crosne in the French department of Essonne, purchased the first Liebherr R 924 crawler excavator in the Île-de-France region at the beginning of the summer. This machine was chosen at the end of a lengthy process of consideration – their decision rested on the quality and range of services offered by the manufacturer. Find out more

Liebherr cranes erect prototype of the most powerful offshore wind turbine in the world

A few weeks ago, the prototype of what is currently the most powerful offshore wind turbine in the world was erected in the Dutch port of Rotterdam. The gondola of the wind turbine, which measures an overall 207 metres in height, has a net weight of 675 tonnes. It was the heaviest load for the two Liebherr crawler cranes used for the job. In a tandem hoist, the two LR 11350 cranes managed a gross load of 780 tonnes and placed the massive component onto the 150 metre tower for the gigantic turbine. Find out more

Liebherr mobile cranes in South Korea – new facility opens and crane premiere

Liebherr will deliver 25 new mobile cranes this year to South Korea, more units than ever before. The Asian country has also developed into a major market for MK mobile construction cranes. Liebherr LAMC Aviation (Changsha) Co., Ltd. (LLA), the joint venture between the Chinese company LAMC (AVIC Landing Gear Advanced Manufacturing Corp.) and German-based Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH, achieved a major milestone – the delivery of the 100th landing gear strut from Changsha for COMAC's twin-engined regional jet ARJ21 program. Liebherr mobile cranes able to comply with the stringent Euro VI c emissions standard in realistic driving conditions

The fact that even large vehicles such as the 5-axle LTM 1160-5.2 with a road weight of 60 tonnes from Liebherr can meet the high Onroad Euro VI c standard has been proved recently by the Swabian crane manufacturer in a series of tests conducted in conjunction with TÜV NORD and the engineering partner IAV. Lindø port of Odense gets prepared for the challenges of tomorrow

Lindø port of Odense recently placed an order for an LHM 800. The new machine has a lifting capacity of up to 308 tonnes and a lifting height of 96.7 meters above quay thanks to a custom-made multi-layer winch. The LHM 800 will enable the Lindø port of Odense to cope with the huge offshore wind turbines of tomorrow. Find out more
