Liebherr mobile cranes able to comply with the stringent Euro VI c emissions standard in realistic driving conditions

Liebherr cranes erect prototype of the most powerful offshore wind turbine in the world

A few weeks ago, the prototype of what is currently the most powerful offshore wind turbine in the world was erected in the Dutch port of Rotterdam. The gondola of the wind turbine, which measures an overall 207 metres in height, has a net weight of 675 tonnes. It was the heaviest load for the two Liebherr crawler cranes used for the job. In a tandem hoist, the two LR 11350 cranes managed a gross load of 780 tonnes and placed the massive component onto the 150 metre tower for the gigantic turbine. Find out more

Egyptian crane contractor buys used Liebherr LR 1400/2 crawler crane

Egyptian heavy haulage and crane contractor, The Specialized Contracting Company CRANES, based in Cairo, has one of the largest fleets of mobile and crawler cranes in the region. It recently bought a used LR 1400/2 crawler crane direct from manufacturer Liebherr. The 400-tonne crawler crane has already proven its worth after completing its first few jobs. Find out more

Liebherr crawler crane LR 11000 between Ironman and surfers in Hawaii

A Liebherr crawler crane of type LR 11000 from the fleet of Buckner HeavyLift Cranes is currently in use in the holiday paradise of Hawaii. New Vestas wind turbines with a hub height of 105 metres have been under construction there for over three months. A major advantage is the possibility to move the crane without a derrick, as the deployment area is in extremely hilly terrain. Find out more
