70 tonnes at an altitude of 150 metres: Hofmann's LR 1800-1.0 assembles wind turbines in Prüm

Two 5.7 MW Nordex wind turbines were erected on a former military site in the Bitburg-Prüm district. The partner for these complicated lifts was the crane company Hofmann based in Paderborn (part of the Bracht Group). The two N163 5.7 turbines with a hub height of 160 metres were erected by the brand-new Liebherr LR 1800-1.0 lattice boom crawler crane at the end of May 2024. Find out more

Liebherr is presenting a new version of the Crane Finder at the Customer Days. The simple tool for finding the right crane and the optimum configuration for a specific load case has been improved in many areas and now includes new integrated features. The Crane Finder is now also available as an app for smartphones and tablets. It offers increased user-friendliness and, thanks to the mobile application, is even more flexible than before. 60 years of enthusiasm for heavy loads: Bracht takes delivery of Liebherr LTM 1030-2.1 mobile crane

Franz Bracht Kran-Vermietung GmbH is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. The company has grown from a sole proprietorship into a group of companies with 16 locations under the motto "Lust auf Last" (translated: "Enthusiasm for heavy loads"). In April, Bracht took delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1030-2.1 adorned with the company's anniversary logo. Including the new crane, the Group currently operates 15 machines of this type. Find out more

The long arm of Garzweiler: Liebherr RT crane at RWE

The gigantic Garzweiler open-cast coal mine (RWE Power AG) is the new "habitat" of the new, powerful Liebherr LRT 1130-2.1 rough terrain crane owned by crane hire company Wasel. Together with the smaller LRT 1100-2.1, it is used daily for repair and maintenance work on conveyor systems and large open-cast mining equipment. Tight location, tight schedule: Thömen performs bridge dismantling work in Hamburg

The two railway overpasses “Ferdinandstor” and “An der Alster” are currently the scene of a major construction site directly on the Alster river in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. Crane service provider Thömen is on site with an LTM 1350-6.1 and an LTM 1650-8.1, among others, to replace the two bridges under challenging conditions. The work has been meticulously planned to ensure that the railway lines can continue to operate as smoothly as possible while the construction work is being carried out. The flyovers connect the nearby main railway station with Hamburg-Altona via five major railway lines. Find out more

Intermat 2024: Liebherr displays exhibits with alternative drives plus a wide range of digital solutions

The LR 11000 from Liebherr packs a punch: higher wind turbines and heavier nacelles

In order to build taller wind turbines with corresponding hub heights and heavier nacelles in the future, the Dutch crane rental company Verschoor decided to acquire a Liebherr LR 11000 crawler crane. The company is thus meeting the requirements of wind turbine manufacturers by adding the most powerful crane to date to its fleet. Find out more
