Liebherr will present its latest developments and innovations at InnoTrans 2024, from September 24-27, at the Outdoor Display, South 0/170.

The company will showcase state-of-the-art HVAC technology: “We offer support to our customers in converting conventional HVAC units using chemical refrigerants to environmentally friendly air-conditioning systems,” explains Roland Friedrich, Deputy General Manager at Liebherr-Transportation Systems Mannheim GmbH. “With our heating-, ventilation- and air- conditioning units we enable operators to comply with the regulatory CO2 requirements and avoid the use of environmental unfriendly refrigerants in the coming years.”

Liebherr-Transportation Systems will also present for example an air-free brake actuator, which is part of Siemens Mobility’s air-free brake system. The new brake technology already went into passenger service in X-Wagen metros in Vienna (Austria). The brake system leads to lower maintenance costs and reduces the time required for train commissioning as well as cycle time.

Additionally, topics such as digital health monitoring as well as maintenance capabilities for rolling stock subsystems will be in the focus. The Liebherr team is looking forward to meeting visitors from all over the world to talk about the trends and challenges of the railway industry.
