Liebherr supplies slewing bearing for Europe’s largest lifting swing bridge
Liebherr’s components product segment supplies the heart of the rotating pillar for the bridge Friesenbrücke, which is being erected for Deutsche Bahn in Weener. It comprises a 5 metre, 12.5 tonne combined roller and ball bearing along with eight matching pinions. This rotating pillar and the associated mechanical systems by Hermann GmbH Maschinenbautechnologie support the 145 metre long, 1,800 tonne central section of Europe’s largest lifting swing bridge to date.

New Liebherr LTM 1070-4.2 Mobile Crane goes to Auto Kurz
Auto Kurz GmbH has taken delivery of a new LTM 1070-4.2 mobile crane from Liebherr. It replaces a five-year-old LTM 1090-4.2 in the crane fleet of the company from North Hesse. The Liebherr 70-tonner is a proven crane with innovative mobile crane technology. The renowned Liebherr service, quality and value retention were important criteria in the decision.

Investment in innovation: Aguado purchases narrow-track LR 1700-1.0W crawler crane
The Aguado Group has taken delivery of a Liebherr LR 1700-1.0W. With the new narrow-track crawler crane, the Spanish company is expanding and modernising its high-performance machine pool. The 700-tonne lattice boom crane meets customers' growing requirements and offers them innovative technical solutions. The LR 1700-1.0W offers versatility, economical transport, high load capacities and a state-of-the-art variable boom system.

Four Giants go for Windpower: BMS Heavy Cranes assembles offshore wind turbines in Esbjerg
Everything is relative. While the popular Liebherr LR 1750/2 crawler crane is often the all-rounder on wind power construction land-based sites, Lars Thomsen, Onsite Project Manager at BMS Heavy Cranes uses it for smaller jobs at the site in Esbjerg, Denmark. The 35-strong BMS Heavy Cranes team in Esbjerg is currently performing a major order: The assembly of 106 wind turbine towers for a gigantic new offshore wind power park near Borkum. Work began in December 2023 and will be completed by the end of 2024. Thomsen's preferred hoists in Esbjerg are three Liebherr LR 11350 high performance crawler cranes in SDB configuration with 132 Meter main boom and 42 Meter Derrick.
